I was painting with my mother while visiting a few weeks back. She's decided she wants to learn, and I thought it would be fun to do together (that is, I'm not "teaching" her anything, persay, but I'm painting alongside, in case she has questions. Totally hands-off!). We bought some small canvases, cheap brushes and acrylic and a few knives. Then, we dug out a couple of my ricketiest old easels and set up in their kitchen. It's kind of fun to work without a set-up sometimes -- cutting boards turned into palettes, the counter became a tabouret, so on and so-forth. It was a lot of fun! This is the first painting I produced that day. It's not very big, and was done with acrylic and palette knives... Now if my poor mother can figure out e-mail attachments, I'll post the rest of our work sometime soon!
